EMOTIONS

John 11: 32 – 44

God, in His wisdom, has given us many gifts. Some we readily accept, others we wish we didn't have to face, and all of them are beyond what we deserve. There are gifts that are easily visible such as possessions and then there are those that are invisible. The peace we feel, the love we have,
humble spirits, and yes our emotions.
There are those among us who try to hide the emotions that were given us. After all, a man is not supposed to cry. Right?

35 Jesus wept.

If Jesus is the example that we are to follow, then why do we try to repress our emotions when He didn't.

38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.
39 "Take away the stone," he said. "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odour, for he has been there four days."
41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me.
42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me."

Yeah. We got 'em. All those gifts from God. And, they all serve a purpose to enrich our lives in relationship with Him.
We laugh, we cry, we feel love.
Thank you God for these precious gifts.
